It’s Just a Number

I guess today is a landmark as I’ve reached the age of 40. This sounds like a lot. Here are some thoughts about it:

  • It’s the first year I haven’t wanted to see a number on my birthday cards
  • 40 is a lot of candles
  • It feels subtley different to 39
  • Many people have told me today that life begins at 40
  • I don’t believe them. I’ve been having a great time up to now!!
