Hi Heather - you're right - you do need to keep updating Squidoo lenses and getting links and visitors in order to keep your lens rank high. Since writing this post the rank of this lens has dropped a bit but I'm not concerned because the traffic and referrals that it generates have both been really good.

The definitive guide is a good question. Let me check my notes and get back to you!

Thanks for this timely reminder Richard. I've got a couple of Squidoo lenses that have been going for a year or two but I did them and then left them alone. It's worth mentioning that they do need some attention; some regular updating to keep them fresh. You have motivated me to get back to my lenses and polish them up a bit.

Congratulations by the way on your #74 rank with the CSS lens.

I'd love some pointers on where to look for the definitive guide to Squidoo - a beginners manual or something like that. I'm sure there is a step by step approach....have you written one yet:-)
